Litany for Proper 13, Year A

(August 2, 2026)

One: God is good, 

All: God shows compassion over all the earth.

One: So too Jesus felt compassion for the people and cured their sick.

All: God is good to all and abounds in steadfast love.

One: And Jesus saw that the crowd was hungry, and asked them to sit down. He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves.

All: God upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down.

One: Then Jesus gave the loaves to the disciples, who gave them to the crowds. And all ate and were filled.

All: God is gracious and merciful! Let us give thanks to God!
