Litany for Christmas, Years A, B, C

Call to Worship for Christmas / New Years

One: God, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food?
All: When were you thirsty and we gave you something to drink?
One: When was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you?
All: When did we see you naked and give you clothing?
One: When was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you?
All: Just as we do it to one of the least of these, we do it to God.
Let us lift our praises to God!
               From Matthew 25:34-40

Litany for 2014-12-28

Call to Worship for December 28, 2014
One: In the beginning was the Word, And the Word was with God,
All: And the Word was God.
One: All things came into being through the Word.
All: What has come into being through the Word was life,
One: And the life was the light of all people.
All: The Word became flesh and lived among us,
One: And through Christ we have seen God's glory and experienced joy.
All: May the words of our mouths always be a light for those around us.
                     from John 1:1-18
