Litany for 9 February 2014 - Fifth Sunday after Epiphany

Call to Celebration
For 9 February 2014

One: Shepherds feed the sheep.
All: They stengthen the weak sheep.
One: They heal the sick sheep, binding up their injuries.
All: They go out and seek the lost sheep, protecting them from wild animals.
One: Members of the body of Christ are called to be shepherds in our world.
All: Some have gifts of healing, which they use to make others well.
One: Others have gifts of compassion, which they use to assist those in need.
All: Still others have the gift of leadership, which they use in sevice of others.

Litany for Fifth Sunday After Epiphany, Year B

Call to Worship for 2015-02-08

One: Sing praises to God,
All: for God gathers the outcasts of Israel.
One: God heals the brokenhearted
All: and binds up their wounds.
One: And through Jesus, God cures the sick 
All: and casts out demons.
One: God lifts up the downtrodden
All: and covers the heavens with clouds, preparing rain for the earth.
One: Praise be to God! 
All: Make a melody to our God on the lyre.
All: Let us join our hearts in worship.

Fifth Sunday After Epiphany
Call to Worship
L: Let us sing praises to God;
P: For God is gracious, and a song of praise is fitting.
L: For God gathers the outcasts of Israel.
P: And heals the brokenhearted, binding up their wounds.
L: Sing to God with thanksgiving;
P: Make a melody on the lyre.
All: Praise the LORD!
