L: Christ the Lord has risen today!
P: All on earth with angels say:

L: Raise your joys and triumphs high!
P: Sing ye heavens and earth reply:

Invocation
We give thanks to You, O God, for You are good;
Your steadfast love endures forever!
You are our strength and our song.
You are our salvation.
It is good to give thanks to You, God;
For Your love is everlasting!
Hear our prayer of thanks to You, O God:

Fifth Sunday in Lent
Call to Celebration
L: When we are at our deepest points, we cry out to God:
P: “Lord, hear our voices! Listen to our voices calling out in our hour of need!”
L: We are impatient even with God. Yet we know God forgives our impatience.
P: God lifts us out of our deepest despair saying,
L: “I will put my spirit within you, and you shall live.”
P: So we hope in the Lord. Our soul waits for the Lord.
All: With God there is steadfast love.

Call to Celebration
L: God is our Shepherd;
P: We will not be in need.
L: God is with us;
P: In green pastures and by still waters we renew our spirits.
L: God is with us;
P: Even in despair we find courage, in darkness we find light.
L: God is at our side;
P: We are comforted and loved.
All: Let us open our hearts to worship God.

L: We lift up our eyes to the hills-- from where will help come?

P: God protects us and keeps us from evil.
L: God watches over us,
P: From this time on and forevermore.

L: Let all who are faithful offer prayer to God.
    At a time of distress, the rush of mighty waters shall not reach them.

L: God preserves us from trouble.
P: God surrounds us with glad cries of deliverance.
L: Steadfast love surrounds those who trust in the LORD.
All: Be glad in the Lord.  Rejoice and shout for joy!
