Call to Worship
L: Jesus took the five loaves and the two fish.
P: The LORD is gracious and merciful.
L: Jesus looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke the loaves,
P: The LORD is good, and has compassion over all the earth.
L: Jesus gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.
P: The LORD raises up all who are bowed down.
L: All ate and were filled;
All: God is gracious and merciful! Thanks be to God!

L: Tell of all God’s wonderful works.
P: For God’s Kingdom is like a hidden treasure unearthed.
All: Praise the Lord! O give thanks to God.

L: Let us bear witness with the Spirit,

P: The river of God is full of water.
L: With God’s love, the meadows clothe themselves with flocks,
P: And the valleys deck themselves with grain.
L: With God’s love, we see our world anew with the wonder of a child.
P: And we welcome others with the eagerness and caring of a child.
All: With God’s love, we shout and sing together for joy!

Call to Worship
L: The mountains and the hills burst into song,
P: And all the trees of the field clap their hands.
L: The rain and snow come down from heaven.
P: They water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout,
L: Giving seed to the sower,
P: And bread to the eater.
All: So too, may God’s word go out and accomplish its purpose.  Amen.

Call to Worship

L: Let us sing of God’s steadfast love;

P: With our mouths we proclaim God’s faithfulness to all generations.
L: Happy are the people who walk in the light of God’s countenance,

P: Who follow in God’s footsteps.

L: Happy are those who welcome the stranger,

P: And give even a cup of cold water to another in need.

L: For in God is the glory of their strength.

P: God’s faithfulness is as firm as the heavens.

ALL: The Lord will provide!

L: O LORD, our Sovereign, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

P: When we look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,

L: The moon and the stars that you have established,

P: We wonder, what are human beings that you are mindful of us, that you care for us?

L: You have given us dominion over the works of your hands;

P: All sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field,

L: The birds of the air, and the fish of the sea,

ALL: May we truly embrace our role as beings created by you in your image.
