Call to Worship for 10 November 2013

Proper 27

One: God has shown steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel. 

All: Break forth into joyous song and sing praises.

One: For God is love. And love is the fulfilling of God's law.

All: Sing praises to the God of Love!

One: Love your neighbor as yourself.

All: Love does no wrong to a neighbor.

One:  With trumpets and the sound of the horn make a joyful noise before God!

All: We sing to God a new song!

Call to Worship for November 3, 2013:

(Proper 26, 24th Sunday after Pentecost, Year C)

One: Today, salvation has come to this house.

All: How should we respond to God's salvation?

One: Learn to do good, seek justice, rescue the oppressed...

All: Defend the orphan and plead for the widow.

One: Give from your possessions to the poor.

All: We raise our praises to God!

One: Spirit of God-- in You we were all baptized into one body

All: When one member suffers, all suffer together with him.

One: In You we are connected as one body.

All: When one member is honored, all rejoice together with her.

One: People of all religions, races, sexual orientations, and abilities,

All: People of all different economic situations, who speak different languages,

One: In You we break bread together, pray together, and do your work together.

All: In You, we all drink of one Spirit. Amen.
