Call to Worship
L: O God, in you we trust.
P: Make us to know your ways, O God of steadfast love,
L: You instruct sinners in the way,
P: And lead the humble in what is right.
L: Just as Jesus taught both Pharisees and tax collectors,
P: We ask that you teach us your path and lead us in your truth,
All: For you are the God of our salvation. Amen.

Call to Celebration
L: Give ear to God’s teaching!
P: In ancient times, God worked marvels in the land of Egypt.
L: Tell the coming generation of God’s glorious deeds.
P: God divided the sea and let the people pass through it.
L: Tell of the wonders God has done.
P: In the daytime God led them with a cloud, and all night long with a fiery light.
L: Tell of God’s might.
P: God split rocks open in the wilderness, and gave them drink abundantly as from the deep.
ALL: Let us look to where God leads us today. Amen.

L: Let us proclaim the might of God’s awesome deeds,
P: We will declare God’s greatness.
L: Let us celebrate the fame of God’s abundant goodness,
P: And sing aloud of God’s righteousness.
L: God is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
All: Sing to God, sing praises; tell of all God’s wonderful works. Amen.

Call to Worship for 11 Sept 2011
L: Bless the Redeemer with our souls and all that is within us.
P:  Bless God’s holy name.
L: Do not forget who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases,
P: And who redeems your life from the Pit
L: Do not forget who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
P: And who satisfies you with good as long as you live so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
L: God works justice for all who are oppressed.
All: God is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
